Punishments

We operate a two-limbed objective and subjective approach towards punishment in NordInvasion. This means that we firstly apply the “reasonable player” test; what would the normal player believe is acceptable behaviour? I would like to draw your attention to the maxim at the top of this page; ignorance of the rules in NordInvasion is no excuse and every player is deemed to know them.

The subjective test means we will look at the individual player, his reputation and past infringements. This means that if we see you have 86 reports by other players, we will view your infringement in a dim light; if you have received warnings in the past for the same behaviour you will be treated more severely; if you have behaved in an inappropriate manner to a member of the administration team in the past, you punishment is very likely to be more severe and so forth.

We normally operate an Official Four Warning system;

  • Warning 1 – Official Warning
  • Warning 2 – 50% reset
  • Warning 3 – 100% reset
  • Warning 4 – Ban

The developer that deals with your particular case has the discretion to alter your punishments. Not all offenses have been created equal, much the same as real life. This means you are not entitled to four warnings; you are not entitled to any warnings. Your punishment will suit the crime. If you believe you have been treated unfairly, I advise you to think very carefully before sending any PM’s to a member of the developer team. We are all very busy and do not bother reading whiney PM’s. A polite and mature message is far more likely to generate a response.
