These rules cover the posting of trading topics and the actual trades themselves.

Dos:

• Only post encouragements or offers
• Only offer advice if it is asked for by the thread creator
• Do as much of the background trading as possible via PMs - this covers house and trade invites, offers can still be posted on the thread
• You may inquire as to the current bids on the items in the thread but please keep the spam to a minimum
• Thread owners, please keep an updated “highest offer” in your original post

Do nots:

• Do NOT post price corrections
• Do NOT post lame comments about someone's offer
• Do NOT post an offer that you do not intend to honor
• Do NOT post a WTS about an item you do not actually own
• Do NOT list the same item in multiple WTS threads
• Do NOT try to increase your post count in the trading board - posts there are not counted
• Do NOT post in a thread unless you want to do the trade or it falls under one of the “dos”

Failing to follow the rules provided here will result in warnings and mutes.
Use comment sense and do not try to justify breaking the rules by claiming it is not specifically prohibited here.

Trading any kind of in-game item, gold, character, account, or any other service for anything outside of NordInvasion is strictly forbidden. This includes real currency and items or gold from other games or mods.

Breaking this rule can and will get your account suspended.

Only one bump per 24 hours is allowed. This includes the original post.

There can only be one bump post in a row; remove the old one before posting again.

A message about the original post being updated/modified is considered a bump. If you have already bumped your thread and need to update it, edit the first post without bumping again.

When a trade has been completed and the thread is done, please lock the thread. This keeps the board cleaner and makes it easy to see what offers are still active and which are not.

The button for locking the thread is in the lower-left corner of the topic.

Please use English when posting in the Trading section. It is not good when you start posting in, Dutch for example, and people don't know if the trade is done or if you are just insulting everyone.

Here is a set of definitions, abbreviations, and notes about each type of trade.

WTT, WTB, WTS - The process of transferring materials/gold/items between players using the in-house trade option.

Before trading is conducted, make sure both parties agree to the terms of trading. It is in the best interests of both sides to keep all relevant information (PM's, Steam messages or screenshots) which state the agreed upon terms until the trade is concluded. If one party removes an item from an already accepted trade, the other side will have to accept again. Once the trade has been completed and the forum post has been locked, the terms of the agreement are concluded.

WTK - The process of asking others what they would offer if this item were for sale.

Use this sparingly since frequent WTK threads will get you labeled as a spammer.

WTL - The process of a lender giving a borrower loaned item(s) with the agreement that the items will be returned after a given duration.

Loaning is at your own risk. Make sure you trust the person before lending anything. This includes the risk that the borrower will be banned and the item(s) will not be returned.

Donating is a process of giving items to another player with no expectation of anything in return.

As with loaning, it is recommended that the person receiving the gift keep records that it was in fact a gift and not a loan.
